Certifiable Sunday!

Starting on Sunday, April 11 at 14:00 PDT (2100Z) and ending at 17:00 PDT (0000Z)

ZLA proudly presents, "Certifiable Sunday!" Since its roll out in October 2006, the ZLA Pilot Certification program has graduated over 400 pilots on VATSIM. The Cert program covers all levels of flight certification; from the very basic VFR traffic pattern at John Wayne to the very challenging IFR arc approach into St. George. The Cert does it all.

We invite you to visit the ZLA Pilot Cert website at ZLA Pilot Certifications for more information. Each Cert comes with an ATC transcript of what would generally transpire over the radio.

The Cert program starts with the VFR-1 and ends with the IFR-11 cert. Each Cert also contains vital information such as charts and descriptions of what you need to do. It's that simple!

The ZLA Cert program is proudly affiliated with the following virtual airlines:

  • AvA
  • California Airlines
  • IPG
  • MetroAir
  • Pacific Airways
  • SimCoa
  • UPS
  • VCA

For you new guys out there, don't be frightened. Not only do we have a staff of friendly and professional controllers here to help you, we have plenty of easy to moderate challenges for you on the Cert. Trust us when we say this: Once you start, it's hard to stop! You'll ask for more challenges once you finish the IFR-11!
