Palm Springs normally lands on runways 31L/R, unless winds at speeds of 10 knots or greater favor the use of 13R/L. Runways 31L/R are the designated calm winds runways and share a common right traffic pattern. Runways 13R/L share a common left traffic pattern. No circling is permitted to the southwest due to high rising terrain. Runway 31R/13L is designated for local General Aviation aircraft use only.

Obstacle Departure Procedure
 

• Rwys 13L,13R, turn left heading 090 to intercept TRM R-304 to TRM VORTAC.
• Rwys 31L, 31R, turn right direct PSP VORTAC, then via PSP R-124 and TRM R-304 to TRM VORTAC.

All aircraft climb in TRM holding pattern (E, right turns, 289 inbound) until reaching MEA or MCA for route of flight.
