    Imperial Beach NOLF

    This facility hosts most of the Navy Pacific Fleet helicopter training, especially PAR and traffic pattern training. Ream Field is the only training center for Navy helicopter aviation on the West Coast, and is utilized by 11 squadrons of combat and patrol helicopters. It has one active runway (5000 feet long) and five helicopter landing pads. Located nine miles south of the City of San Diego, between Imperial Beach and the Mexican Border, OLF Imperial Beach consists of approximately 1,100 acres and is the only exclusive-use Naval helicopter airfield on the West Coast.

    Obstacle Departure Procedure:

    • RWY 27: Minimum ATC climb rate of 560 ft/NM until 800'. Climb via hdg 272 to intercept NRS R-270. Cross 1.5 DME at 800', then climb to 2000 via NRS R-270.
    • Runways 8, 9, 26 departures not authorized.
